On my second day in Wanaka I went skiing at the Remarkables with some friends.
While the crowds were rather small and slopes less steep, off piste was rather icy so it was easy going for much of the day.
I’m also yet to work out why there are multiple Kea statues on the mountain.
We took it easy on the road down the mountain at the end of the day as there had been an accident and this is despite the road being sealed and a lot nicer than other ski field roads.
Before heading back to Wanaka for the night we had dinner in Queenstown and watched the sunset over the mountains.
