I was fortunate to visit a number of small towns around the Taal Lake.
My first stop was the Caleruega Church
We had lunch overlooking Taal Volcano – not realising at the time it was emitting a lot of volcanic smog.
As we travelled I was amazed by the stalls on the side of the road selling all variety of fresh meat, vegetables and much more.
It wasn’t all leisure time. I was put to work getting mangos from a tree.
Fortunately, I was allowed to cool off afterwards with a coconut ice block.
