Git Cherry Picking Across Forked Repos and Empty Commits

Recently I found myself in a situation where I wanted to bring in a specific upstream commit into a forked repository. Although these repos share a common history, the two repos had diverged enough that it wasn’t a straight-forward cherry-pick between branches. Instead, with clones of the two repositories I managed to cherry-pick as follows:

git --git-dir=..//.git format-patch -k -1 --stdout | git am -3 -k

2018 – The Year of Personal Development

2018 has been a great year. I changed career, set up a new apartment and celebrated good times with friends.

I have also posted very few blog posts (only 4!), I’m well over a year behind in editing photos from trips. However, life has been busy and I’m being slightly more restrained in what I chose to post online.

Supercars at Sydney Motorsport Park 2017

In 2019 the Supercars series will not be competing at Sydney Motorsport Park Eastern Creek Raceway.

This is disappointing because for fans attending the track as it is one of the few venues with excellent viewing opportunities right around the track.
