Happy New Year!
The best new year’s eve ever.
Travel, Technology, Thoughts
Today was a beautiful day in Sydney so I went exploring North Head.
Read moreI spent most of today walking around the North Head of Sydney Harbour. As I was walking back towards Shelly Beach I almost walked straight into an Australian Water Dragons and what I believe to be some sort of skink. They are seriously some of the coolest creatures I have ever seen.

The perfect weather made for the perfect conditions for the running of the Red Bull Flugtag on Sydney Harbour. The effort the teams went to for 15 seconds of wet fame was extremely impressive.
Read moreSea World was the most disappointing out of the theme parks that I visited. I think this is mainly due to my age. I am way too old for Sesame Street shows and most of the wildlife I have seen in wild or other zoos before. The one exception to this is the dolphin show which was something really special.
The rides at Sea World were pretty awesome, especially the Jet Ski Rescue rollercoaster but they seemed a little out of place and would have been more awesome with the other crazy rides at Movie World.

Read moreEarlier this week I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the Gold Coast and Byron Bay for the third time this year. It is not very common for me to go to the same place multiple times in a single year but I had some more friends come from New Zealand on holiday so I may a quick 36 hour return trip from Sydney to join them. There is so much to see and do in the Gold Coast that I could go there at least another 10 times and not get bored.
Read moreThe final day of our road trip was spent travelling from Port Macquarie to Sydney via a detour to Foster and Newcastle. Pretty much unless you are in your 90s, death and blind don’t visit Port Macquarie there are only two pubs and you can’t go to the beach at night. Foster and the beaches around it on the other hand appeared much more appealing and would be certainly be worthwhile investigating. The drive into Sydney is spectacular as well.
Read moreAfter our visit to Movie World we headed south to Byron Bay, before staying the night in Grafton. The next morning we continued south to Coffs Harbour before heading inland to the New England Highway, then after travelling about an hour south back across to the Pacific Highway at Port Macquarie.
